With Bernd Windhofer &
Dr Christina Farrell
In this six-day retreat, we explore the relationship between body, mind, and awakening through Buddhist philosophy, alongside yoga and somatic psychology. Held in Northern Thailand, a long-standing centre of Buddhist practice, the retreat invites embodied inquiry into how habitual patterns of tension, reactivity, and attachment shape our experience.
Each day we weave together asana, pranayama, meditation, and psychologically informed reflection, allowing Buddhist principles to be experienced directly through the body. Practices are designed to cultivate presence, clarity, and a more grounded way of being that extends beyond the retreat.

CHIANG MAI, 5-10 NOVEMBER: YOGA RETREAT
Join us at a private riverside retreat space along the tranquil Ping River, just outside Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand, one of the cultural hearts of Buddhist tradition, where centuries-old temples and contemplative practices remain part of daily life.
The retreat is held across two beautifully designed, connected villas, offering a total of 10 rooms with a mix of king or queen beds and twin-share options, allowing for both private and shared accommodation.
The property includes generous shared living and dining spaces, fully equipped modern kitchens, and a private saltwater infinity pool and Jacuzzi overlooking the river. A purpose-built yoga shala, set directly on the riverbank, provides a dedicated space for yoga, meditation, and mindful movement, supported by the natural sounds of flowing water.
Surrounded by greenery, river life, and living Buddhist culture, this setting offers a calm and grounding environment for retreat and reflection.

About Our Hosts
Christina is a psychologist who has practiced yoga since 2002. She is passionate about integrating meditation into modern psychology with yogic wisdom to support deep transformation. With a background in clinical psychology and a deep interest in embodiment practices, she helps others break free from conditioned patterns and reconnect with presence. Expect a journey that is insightful, somatic, and expansive —grounded in both science and ancient wisdom, always approached with compassion and curiosity.

Bernd has been teaching yoga and its sister meditative and contemplative arts since 2005, having practiced deeply and daily since 2001. His passion for teaching is helping all who wish to dive deep to find their way to a life that becomes more magical, profound and meaningful every day. Expect to be challenged and sometimes pushed into the proverbial river, but always with kindness and never without paddle and life jacket.
